二，美国各个大学如何定义转学生----理解每所学校的招生政策十分重要

加州理工说： Students who have completed their secondary-school education and have subsequently enrolled at a college for credit will be considered for transfer admission.

耶鲁大学说：a,To be eligible to transfer, you must have a high school diploma or GED by June of the current academic year, and at least one year and no more than two years of transferable post-secondary-school college credit ;b:If by the end of the current academic year you will have completed less than one year of full-time college study, you should apply through the freshman admissions process.

华盛顿大学说： An international transfer student is someone who is attending or has attended any post-secondary institution but who has not yet completed a four-year bachelor’s degree. If you are planning to enroll at any college or university before attending the UW, even if it is for one term only, you will be considered an international transfer applicant.

雪城大学说：If you have attended an institution of higher education for any period of time after graduating from secondary school and received graded credit in academic coursework, please apply as a transfer student
