英国的教育费用上升

一项研究显示，家长现在要花将近1.6万英镑，才能使子女完成学业。诺威奇联合保险公司(Norwich Union)的研究表明，过去两年内，一个5至16岁的孩子就读一所公立学校的总花费增加了逾1500英镑。下学年，家长们将为子女上学的日常项目总计支付114亿英镑的费用，平均每个孩子为1449英镑。

花销单上排在首位的是交通，家长们运送子女往返学校的费用接近30亿英镑（平均每个孩子为366英镑）。28亿英镑将用于支付学校午餐，另有13亿英镑用于运动装备。

Parents now spend almost £16,000 putting their child through school, a study suggests. The total bill for sending a child to state school between the ages of five and 16 has risen by more than £1,500 in the last two years, research by Norwich Union found. Parents will pay out a total of £11.4bn over the next school year on everyday items for their child's schooling – an average of £1,449 per child.

Top of the list of costs is transport, with parents spending just under £3bn (£366 per child) on ferrying their offspring to and from school. A massive £2.8bn will go on school lunches, and £1.3bn on sports kit.
